При работе в NSE существует возможность редактирования настроек символьного редактора (цветовая палитра, ширины линий). При этом, они сохраняются в файле \users\<user>\mgc_nse_2007.ini. После выхода из NSE настройки теряются. Файл mgc_nse_2007.ini сбрасывается в исходное состояние.
Соответственно при следующем входе в NSE загружаются настройки по умолчанию.

The mgc_nse_2007.ini file stores settings that are unique to Dx Symbol Editor.
When invoking Dx Symbol Editor from Library Manager, the nse_lm.ini file stores central library symbol settings (for example, colors, styles, and port length). Settings unique to Dx Symbol Editor (for example, ruler settings, paths, and so forth) are saved to the mgc_nse_2007.ini file located in the user’s home directory (in the Documents and Settings home directory).
Settings that are common between DxDesigner and Dx Symbol Editor (for example, fonts, grid settings, and so forth) can only be changed via the DxDesigner interface (options are unavailable in Dx Symbol Editor) and saved to the DxDesigner.xml file.
nse_lm.ini File
When invoking Dx Symbol Editor from Library Manager for the first time, the software creates the nse_lm.ini configuration file and places it in the central library. Any changes made using the Preferences dialog box in Dx Symbol Editor invoked from Library Manager are saved to this file. "
