Issue: You MUST turn off "User Account Control (UAC)" to operate CCS on Windows Vista.User Account Control is a new setting in Windows Vista that controls the operation of applications. This prevents CCS from operating properly.
Workaround
The dialog below shows you how to disable user account control.
Issue: Windows Vista does not include WinHlp support.Pressing F1 from within CCS will not launch the CCS help files. The help files also fail to launch if opened from the Start Menu. The Windows Help program that is required to launch and display 32-bit help files with a .hlp extension, such as those included in CCS, is no longer included in the Windows operating system's installer. Workaround
The required program, WinHlp32.exe, can be downloaded from Microsoft
here. After downloading and installing the application all help files for CCS, and other applications, should be readily available.
Issue: Crashing on Exit.If you use the Event Analysis or Sequencer tools on Vista CCS will crash when you exit the application.
Issue: Windows Reboot.There have been limited cases of CCS causing a reboot of windows reported.
Workaround
Rename cTools.dll in the cc\bin folder to cTools.bak. This will resolve the issue but will disable advanced event triggering.
