Split\Mixed.

Solutions
The HyperLynx simulator assumes that all plane layers are continuous and perfect.
It does not deal with disruptions in return currents for signals that cross over splits on a plane layer. It does not take into account edge effects when a signal travels parallel with the edge of a plane on a nearby plane layer. And it does not take into account the affects of copper pours on signal layers. Signal Vision makes the same assumptions regarding plane layers.
However, if a signal is routed on a plane layer the HyperLynx simulator will take into account the edge effects between the signal trace and the plane structures on both sides of the signal trace on the same layer. The HyperLynx simulator assumes that the distance between the trace and the plane layer on either side of it will be the same distance as the width of the trace itself. Signal Vision will let you define the distance between the trace and the plane structures on the same layer. Signal layers above and below this plane layer, with routing and therefore splits on it, will still assume that the plane layer is continuous however.
