Is it possible to generate analog layout automatically from schematic?
Is this tool Pulsic Animate useful in everyday work?
Does anyone have experience with this tool?
Can it at least speed up layout design?

Cadence IC6 has something similar, but it is far away from compleat automation.

IC6 does routing and placing separately, this tool does it at the same time to find optimal solution.

We have never used cadence routers for analog layout becouse they are very bad.
I have been working like layout designer for 5 yeears.

I like features for recognizing diff pairs and current mirrors so they can be matched automatically.
I think this is a bit better then Cadence analog router.

Which tools do you use for design?

Most of the time I use Cadence Virtuoso Layout.

Do you use L or XL Layout?
Is XL really much better since is much more expensive?

I usually use L. XL is better but we have just a few licence.
We use it only for top level layout not for block layouts.
