WGM shoul be resonator. As I know there is three method of exciting- Prism coupling ( is not efficient, ) Slant-cut optical fiber
coupling, Tapered fiber or optical waveguide coupling. Two last more recently used.

my case differs because i am not in optics but in RF
i have a dipole and a dielectric sphere (epsilon 18) which are FAR from each other

i was told that i need to increase the dielectric coefficient of the "air" between them in order to get a good
K' vector
do you know something about that case?
regarding exciting WG with dipole rather then fiber optics?
