Хотелось бы поднять тему...
Читаю сейчас сайт максстрима - и вижу что пояились XBee series 2, только 2-мвт версия, которую они рекомендуют для mesh networks, а старые модули - только для P2P и P2MP (но есть 60-мвт версия)...
ZigBee firmware для старых обновилось до 8xx7, но осталось бетой и по моим сегодняшним потыкам глюкаво до изумления (хотя может это X-CTU новая глючит).
Кроме того, наткнулся на упоминание в FAQ, что первые и вторые между собой не совместимы (это действительно так, или что то не так я понял?).
Похоже на какое то кидалово. Я закладывался на них в надежде что будет доступна mesh через какое то время для Xbee Pro... И что теперь делать?

The XBee Series 1 and the XBee Series 2 modules have the exact same form factor and are pin-for-pin compatible, but they are based on different chip sets and are running different protocols, so they are not over-the-air compatible. The Series 1 module is based on the Freescale chipset and is intended to be used in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications. The Series 2 module is based on the Ember chipset and is designed to be used in applications that require repeaters or mesh. Both modules have the option to interface via AT or API modes and both series will be offered and fully supported moving forward.
