Уважаемые господа!

Компания CST (www.cst.com) начала поставки пользователям новой версии
набора своих продуктов для полного трехмерного моделирования во
временной и частотной области CST STUDIO SUITE 2006.



В основе пакета лежит универсальная среда разработчика CST DESIGN
ENVIRONMENT, являющаяся дальнейшим развитием пакет CST MICROWAVE
STUDIO.

В версию CST MICROWAVE STUDIO 2006 добавлены следующие функции:

- Интегрированная среда CST DESIGN ENVIRONMENT позволяет просмотр как
трехмерного, так и схемотехнического представления анализируемых
моделей. Базовая лицензия CST MWS включает возможность моделирования
схемы из сосредоточенных RLC элементов совместно с 3D EM структурами.

- Доработан механизм тетраэдрального разбиения при использования
вычислительного ядра в частотной области. Теперь разбиение более
качественно повторяет контуры поверхностей анализируемых объектов,
учитываются граничные условия с поглощением, введена поддержка поля в
дальней зоне, гиротропных сред, сосредоточенных элементов, ячеек
произвольной формы, адаптивного разбиения, адаптивного алгоритма
частотного свипирования.

- Значительно усовершенствованы средства интеграции с пакетом Advanced
Design System (ADS) компании Agilent Technologies.

- Доработан интерфейс с пакетом Allegro компании Cadence.

- Разработан новый алгоритм учета идеальных граничных условий PBA при
гексаэдральном разбиении.

- Введен учет дисперсионных свойств материалов, которые могут быть
описаны в табличном виде. Это дает возможность описывать модель
человеческого тела.

- Поддержка моделей проволочных перемычек по стандарту JEDEC.

- Усовершенствован механизм распределенных вычислений в рамках
локальной сети. Новая схема позволяет минимизировать обмен данными
между компьютерами и снизить сетевую погрешность.

- Введены новые средства постобработки результатов расчета:
характеристики в дальней зоне над заземляющей поверхностью с потерями,
новый механизм экстракции SPICE схемы замещения, осредненные
зависимости для различения полей с линейной и круговой поляризацией.

В пакет CST STUDIO SUITE 2006 вошли:

- CST MICROWAVE STUDIO для моделирования СВЧ структур.

- CST EM STUDIO для моделирования низкочастотных и статических полей.

- CST PARTICLE STUDIO для моделирования поведения заряженных частиц в
электромагнитных полях.

- CST DESIGN STUDIO для синтеза и моделирования схемотехнического
представления проектов.

Все программы интегрированы в рамках единой среды CST DESIGN
ENVIRONMENT, обеспечивающей взаимодействие и учет различных физических
эффектов.

General / Environment

• Improved conversion of old project files into new format.
• Fixed display of currently used host id and license server name in license dialog box.
• Progress bar for matrix calculation improved.
• Fixed problem that online help for the design environment tries to access drive D:.
• Restore height of parameter and message window from previous design environment session.
• Fixed scrolling to the top of the parameter list once a parameter unit type is modified.
• Parameter sweeps now store all independent parameters in the tables.
• Fixed VBA command GetLicenseCustomerNumber.

Distributed computing

• Fixed problems with user defined excitation signals.
• Fixed some problems concerning licensing.
• Frontend was not unlocked correctly when main controller was unspecified.
• The unit cell parameter sweep with distributed computing does no more query for reusing an adapted mesh.

Import

• Added new single layer and multiple layer Gerber file import options.

Modeler

• Added a check whether material exists during solid wire creation.
• It is no longer possible to create a solid curve wire with zero radius.
• The target solid is now checked for existence in change component command.
• Rebuild problems when using "Make shape from picked faces" fixed.
• Fixed program abort in new material dialog if add to library is checked and delete result question cancelled twice.
• Fixed update problems with imported curves in combination with macros.
• Polygon simplification improved.
• Resolved problems that sometimes wires are not electrically connected for coarse meshes.
• Fixed some problems in combination with fast history updates.
• Fixed some problems with layer stacking feature.
• Changes to material "default" are now considered after re-opening the file.
• Mesh view is now stored when switching to another view and retrieved when switching mesh view back on.
• Performance of show spline faces operation improved.
• Local mesh refinement now works for wire models even when use for auto mesh is deactivated.
• Fixpoints which are located slightly outside the bounding box are snapped correctly now.
• Fixed some problems with adding automesh fixpoints.

Visualization

• Changing the triangulation accuracy is no longer allowed during solver run.
• Visualization of surface plots does not depend anymore on the user click sequence in tree.
• Solid wires are now visualized transparently if material is transparent and can be selected.
• Wires are drawn when transparent field mode is active.
• Fixed visualization of wires in mesh view in case of symmetries: only the part of wire inside the calculation domain is shown now.
• Dragging the cutplane position slider with the arrow keys updates field cuts now, as well.
• Fixed redraw problem after switching to desktop and maximizing modeler again.
• Mesh is visible now even if "transparent view" is active.
• Fixed h-field interpolation on PEC surfaces for structures with a height of one mesh cell.
• Memory leak in field cut visualization fixed.
• The "Select mode frequency" dialog no more shows duplicated entries or hangs when selecting another frequency.
• Improved display and handling of arbitrarily oriented cutplane.
• Fixed field maximum search for scalar fields.
• Fixed field maximum search for power flow 3d on surfaces and 2d.
• Improved field display for unit cell structures.

Transient solver

• Added check for invalid dispersion models (failed fitting) before transient solver run.
• Fixed voltage monitors and field on curve extraction in case of non-symmetric curves and activated symmetries.
• Fixed inconsistency of port shielding functionality at ports touching open boundaries.
• Fixed logfile entry in case of simultaneous excitations.
• Fixed extraction of 2D monitors at the vicinity of waveguide ports.

Frequency domain solver

• Added validity check for dispersive materials.
• Changed stopping criteria for "resonant with fields" solver.
• Resonant solver no longer ignores "normalize to fixed impedance".
• Fixed h-field and derived monitors in combination with magnetic losses.
• The frequency sweep is no longer stopped when the "do you want to abort the entire sweep" query is answered with "no".
• Fixed bug for open structures with the "add space before mesh generation" flag activated in combination with farfields.
• Fixed frequency sweep convergence check after increasing the frequency range, e.g. from a partial to the global range.
• Fixed discrete ports on unit cell boundaries.
• Fixed check for existing and complete solver results when automatic samples are defined.
• Added validity check for dispersive materials.
• Result templates now correctly show the mesh adaptation passes.

Eigenmode solver

• Added the external Q-factors to the result window.
• Added a VBA command in order to access the external Q-factor.
• Fixed wrong magnetic power loss density monitor.
• Fixed problem in the estimation frequency calculation of AKS solver.
• Fixed problem in port mode calculation, if many conductors are present in the port.
• Result templates now correctly show the mesh adaptation passes.

EMS solvers

• Fixed problem with size of calculation domain in combination with coils.
• Solid specific energies can now be calculated by the TET SH and SE-solvers.
• Solid specific losses and energies can now be calculated by the TET LF-solver.
• TET-LF-solver does not stop anymore if a non-linear material is defined.

Postprocessing

• SAR: time saving limitation of calculation volume enabled via VBA.
• SAR: added VBA command "GetValue".
• SAR: added output numbers "point SAR" and "SAR related to 1W(rms)" accepted power.
• SAR: improved plots and maximum position.
• Fixed unnecessary error message when combining results on tetrahedral grids.
• VBA: LoadPlainFile method of Result1D now again appends the project base name automatically.
• VBA command "evaluate field on face" now delivers maximum and minimum with positions.
• Energy, Loss and SAR fields 3d maximum coordinate output is now in the center of grid cells.

PBA matrix calculation (hexahedral)

• Fixed some matrix generation problems for particular examples.
• Fixed problem when switching back and forth between TD and FD solvers with TST cells at the ports.
• Fixed problems with port mode solutions (impedances, mode classification)
• Improved detection of TST cells by PBA acceleration mesher.

Tetrahedral mesh generation

• Fixed mesh generation for unit cell structures when discrete ports are touching the periodic boundaries.
• Fixed problem with the unit cell port mesh extraction for some specific port locations.
• Fixed mesh inconsistency with model simplification involving conducting walls.
• Fixed mesh generation for PEC sheet within a waveguide port.
• Fixed incorrect start of mesh generation when deleting all results after viewing a field.

Macros and Result Templates

• External Q-factor can be saved through 0D template "3D Eigenmode Result"
• New macro "File / Get Customer-ID and Host-ID"
• Bugfix in file loading inside macro "Time Signal Processing / Eye diagram"
• Farfield templates can now store "Maximum = 0 dB"
• TDR template works for discrete ports with arbitrary impedance
• Fixed some backward compatibility issues for the ADS import.

• Different units in sub-model were ignored.
• Fixed abnormal termination of network MOR.
• Zero S-matrix for MWS block based on FD results for a sub-range of the frequency range set in MWS.
• Studio did not close after running parameter sweep via command line option.

Distributed computing

• Front end was still locked when no further front end license could be checked out.
• Result cache was not written when distributing a parameter sweep.
• Fixed problems when running DC with more than one network card.
• Fixed problems with running more than one solver server at the same time on one computer.

Import

• Vias are correctly imported when using gerber import (multiple layers).

Modeler

• Improved handling of discrete elements consisting of two edges.
• Added support for differential SPICE netlist generation.
• The align direction for the layer stacking can now be inverted.
• Partly update of history list is now possible again.
• Voltage monitors are no longer invisible. Revised draw routines of wire structures.
• Fixed bug: 'Material changes color after parameter update'.
• Transparency slider in material dialog is updated correctly during dialog opening.
• New mesh VBA-commands implemented (grid point based): GetNp, GetClosestPtIndex, GetXPos.
• Fixed phase sign in evaluate field on curve file output.
• Removed check for existing component in command 'CreateShapeFromFaces'.
• Postprocessing messages were not displayed in the message window but as a message box.
• Limited number of points for evaluate field on curve to 1 million per curve.

Visualization

• Farfield plot 1D: Reloading of old data and indeterminable phase center in following 3D plot fixed.

Frequency domain solver

• Fixed occasional Tet-FD solver freeze in SP1 when a single adaptation frequency was defined with the adaptation turned off.
• Fixed convergence problem in HF HEX FD solver if high conducting areas are included.
• The FD solver did not properly detect a parameter sweep over the unit cell scan angle when the templates were used.
• Fixed problem with the user abort for the Tet-FD solver during the calculation of the first two samples.
• The Tet-FD excitation defaults were incorrect for unit cells with no ports other than the Floquet ports.
• Fixed Tet mesh creation for FD with open boundaries, indicated by a warning about not considered "sheets with normal or anisotropic material".
• Fixed a problem with the Tet-FD port overlap calculation: "Overlap polygon with points not arranged in a counter clockwise fashion".
• Fixed bug in linear equation solver for periodic boundaries.
• Fixed crash of the tet-fd solver when the low frequency stabilization was used with first order.
• Wrong error message about unsupported internal ports is no more shown for Hex-FD and Eigenmode solvers.
• The Tet-FD curvature refinement of open structures no more strongly depends on the "add space before mesh generation" special solver setting.
• Added more meaningful error message for the Tet-FD mesh verification of zero volume or negative orientation checks.

Eigenmode solver

• Inaccurate AKS results in combination with TST resolved.

Postprocessing

• Fixed return code evaluation as well as progress and status text after frequeny domain transmission line network extraction.

PBA matrix calculation (hexahedral)

• Problem with electrically open, solid modelled bond wires resolved.
• Fixed TST detection if using PBA acceleration.
• Crash when calculating feature matrices for AKS-solver resolved.

Tetrahedral mesh generation

• User abort shows now just a warning, no additional misleading error message
'...entirely filled with PEC...' anymore.
• Added calculation of the smallest Tet edge.
