Уважаемые господа!

Компания CST (www.cst.com) начала поставки пользователям новой версии
набора своих продуктов для полного трехмерного моделирования во
временной и частотной области CST STUDIO SUITE 2006.



В основе пакета лежит универсальная среда разработчика CST DESIGN
ENVIRONMENT, являющаяся дальнейшим развитием пакет CST MICROWAVE
STUDIO.

В версию CST MICROWAVE STUDIO 2006 добавлены следующие функции:

- Интегрированная среда CST DESIGN ENVIRONMENT позволяет просмотр как
трехмерного, так и схемотехнического представления анализируемых
моделей. Базовая лицензия CST MWS включает возможность моделирования
схемы из сосредоточенных RLC элементов совместно с 3D EM структурами.

- Доработан механизм тетраэдрального разбиения при использования
вычислительного ядра в частотной области. Теперь разбиение более
качественно повторяет контуры поверхностей анализируемых объектов,
учитываются граничные условия с поглощением, введена поддержка поля в
дальней зоне, гиротропных сред, сосредоточенных элементов, ячеек
произвольной формы, адаптивного разбиения, адаптивного алгоритма
частотного свипирования.

- Значительно усовершенствованы средства интеграции с пакетом Advanced
Design System (ADS) компании Agilent Technologies.

- Доработан интерфейс с пакетом Allegro компании Cadence.

- Разработан новый алгоритм учета идеальных граничных условий PBA при
гексаэдральном разбиении.

- Введен учет дисперсионных свойств материалов, которые могут быть
описаны в табличном виде. Это дает возможность описывать модель
человеческого тела.

- Поддержка моделей проволочных перемычек по стандарту JEDEC.

- Усовершенствован механизм распределенных вычислений в рамках
локальной сети. Новая схема позволяет минимизировать обмен данными
между компьютерами и снизить сетевую погрешность.

- Введены новые средства постобработки результатов расчета:
характеристики в дальней зоне над заземляющей поверхностью с потерями,
новый механизм экстракции SPICE схемы замещения, осредненные
зависимости для различения полей с линейной и круговой поляризацией.

В пакет CST STUDIO SUITE 2006 вошли:

- CST MICROWAVE STUDIO для моделирования СВЧ структур.

- CST EM STUDIO для моделирования низкочастотных и статических полей.

- CST PARTICLE STUDIO для моделирования поведения заряженных частиц в
электромагнитных полях.

- CST DESIGN STUDIO для синтеза и моделирования схемотехнического
представления проектов.

Все программы интегрированы в рамках единой среды CST DESIGN
ENVIRONMENT, обеспечивающей взаимодействие и учет различных физических
эффектов.

This list provides an overview of some of the most important changes in Service Pack 4 of CST ICROWAVE STUDIO®2006.

General / Environment


The VBA-command '#uses will be executed correctly now.

The history list is now refreshed when switching back to the main view.

The tree does no longer loose the focus if a 1D curve is deleted.

Shortcuts F7,Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V also work when parameter list edit field is active.

Application did not terminate when running the optimizer by command line.


Distributed computing

Front end did not exit after parameter sweep with distributed computing started via command line.

Not all results were merged after distributed solver run.

Fixed problem on terminal servers when logging off from Windows while DC calculates a job.

Solver messages where not send to front end after reconnect.

Reduced memory consumption of Main Controller and Solver Server while sending large files.

Solvers did not store results to cache properly when using DC.


Import / Export

Added improved arc recognition to GERBER import.

DXF and GDSII imports can now be executed as macro again.

Problem with units for IGES and Step Import/Export repaired.

ASCII-Export for surface loss plots enabled.

ASCII-Export of surface currents: added column for area.


Modeler

New error message in command tracefromcurve if resulting solid edges are self-intersecting.

Fixed problems during fast history updates in combination with monitors.

Repaired problem if a closed current path or a closed wire happened to be outside the mesh due to a symmetry.

A mesh is no longer deleted after editing a curve if the bounding box does not change.

Plane rotation in mesh view now takes the center of bounding box if selected instead of origin.

Suppressed opening of frequency range dialog after clicking on Mesh Control if no solid is defined.

Deletion of a user defined view works again.

Fixed problem during parameter sweep, in combination with parameterized imports and fast model updates.

Problem with incomplete dispersive material settings has been repaired.


Meshing / Matrix calculator

Problem within the matrix calculator for structures with very small gaps resolved..
The tetrahedral preview mesh was not invalidated when the "add space before mesh generation" in the solver specials changed.


Transient solver

Improved accuracy of inhomogeneous boundary check for plane wave excitation.

Re-normalization was not applied for models with two ports any more if only one port was excited.


Frequency domain solver

An attempt to free memory for the tetrahedral frequency domain monitor calculation did not succeed.

Fixed mismatch between the tetrahedral frequency domain excitation number and the order of discrete ports, if the ports were not sorted by name.

Parameter sweep watches, result templates and optimizer results were missing for the resonant frequency domain solver.

Resonant frequency domain solver did not start within the optimizer if Calculate modes only is used.

Fixed convergence problems for low frequency applications of the hexahedral frequency domain solver.


Post processing

The adaptive hexahedral mesh refinement did only store the last adaptation pass in the result cache.

Clamp to Range option does not produce inconsistencies (color ramp labels vs. info text) anymore.

For farfield with tetrahedral mesh the radiation efficiency with more than one defined monitor has been corrected.

Fixed field magnitude and radiation efficiency for discrete ports with symmetries.

Improved passivity calculation of Network MOR.


VBA / Macros

Implemented VBA command Pick.ExportFaceTriangles.
