For those who like programming in Pascal here is Turbo51 - a free Pascal compiler for the 8051 family of microcontrollers:

http://turbo51.com/

It features a fast single pass optimizing compiler, Borland Turbo Pascal 7 syntax, full floating point support, mixed Pascal and assembler programming, full use of register banks, advanced multi-pass optimizer, smart linker, generates compact high quality code, output formats include binary, Intel HEX and assembler source.

This is great project Igor. a14.gif Please accept my sincere appreciation for your work.
I hope that you can implement "Import of OMF51 object files" and "Generation of OMF51 object files" before very long.

I have posted to thise subject, but from my mistake i posted to AVR . This is not IDE, compiler only! You need to read author's suite to get recommendations on Text Editor and so on.

Thanks. Import of OMF51 object files needs a lot of work since without proper calling conventions it won't be of much use. Generation of OMF51 absolute object file is planned for next release.

Some months ago I have posted information about availability of Turbo51 - a free Pascal compiler for the 8051 family of microcontrollers.

It features a fast single pass optimizing compiler, Borland Turbo Pascal 7 syntax, full floating point support, mixed Pascal and assembler programming, full use of register banks, advanced multi-pass optimizer, smart linker, generates compact high quality code, output formats include binary, Intel HEX and assembler source.

Now Turbo51 can generate absolute OMF-51 extended object file needed for source-level debugging. You can use Keil uVision, Silabs IDE, Raisonance RIDE or any other IDE/debugger that supports OMF-51 object files.

This is good news. In my following design I will without fail try to use your Pascal compiler.
