что-то там не к добру про изменения импорта-экспорта ascii, нельзя ли поподробнее?
Change to ASCII Import and Export in EE 7.9
Expedition Enterprise Customers:
In February, 2008 we announced our intent to remove the ability to export and import ASCII data out of and in to Expedition PCB. In that announcement we introduced Automation as the supported method for interacting with our system to gain access to design data.
To reiterate, it was never our intent to promote or support ASCII export and import as a means to access and manipulate design data and at no time did we ever publish the ASCII content format for this purpose. The reason why this usage was never supported is due to the fact that we have no way to validate the intent or the integrity of edits made to design data outside of our authoring tools. For us to state support and insure the integrity of customer design data would be an impossible and unsupportable task.
As we started driving the Expedition technology into the Enterprise solution space we implemented the Automation solution for accessing design data. Automation is the only supported and sustainable method for manipulating design data outside of the authoring tools themselves. The Automation solution manages the data integrity risks inherent in the ASCII export / import process for introducing data integrity issues. Again, we cannot validate intent or the integrity of changes made to design data performed through any means other than the Automation solution.
With the EE2007.x releases we provided customers free access to the Automation Basic capability in order to access design data.
Since the February, 2008 announcement we have been working to expand Automation capabilities to provide a comprehensive design data access interface. With the EE 7.9 release the Automation solution provides users everything necessary to access and manipulate design data based on our analysis and customer feedback. Specifically we have added Read/Write automation support for the Cell Editor, Padstack Editor, and Part Editor.
In addition we invested in and have provided a PCB Automation Tutorial that describes basic programming techniques using the Expedition Automation interface as well as extensive how-to examples. Online help within Expedition describes the Automation Interface and all capabilities available within. The PCB Automation Tutorial can be accessed via SupportNet at the following link. A SupportNet login is required to access this document.
http://supportnet.mentor.com/docs/20091101...mation.TutorialWith the release of EE 7.9 and our enhanced Automation solution we provide complete access to design data. As a result our plan is to completely eliminate the ASCII export and import capability. We have started this process with the EE 7.9 release whereby we have removed the ability to import ASCII data into the Expedition Enterprise flow. In 2H 2011 we intend to remove the ASCII export capability as well.
What has changed with the EE 7.9 release:
1. Customers will be able to export ASCII design data and decrypt the data. They will not be able to encrypt and import ASCII data into Expedition.
2. The dataconvert.exe that allowed decryption & encryption of exported design data in pre-EE 7.9 releases will not work in EE 7.9.
3. Customers need to request a new no-cost Part Number (245964 PCB Data Decryptor Optional SW) which will give them a new license feature enabling decryption only within the EE 7.9 version of dataconvert.exe.
4. The previous Part Number (237618) for dataconvert has been made obsolete and will be renewed only by specific request and approval.
If you have any concerns with this change, require additional information as to how this change affects your particular interface, or would like to request a license, please send a detailed email to ascii_answers@mentor.com.
