===============
Using scripts.ini Files
A scripts.ini file specifies the scripts to run at startup. The file can contain multiple lists of scripts, where each list is associated with a particular application. For example, there can be one list of scripts associated with Expedition PCB and another list of scripts associated with FabLink XE.
There can also be multiple scripts.ini files. However, only one such file in each of the default folders. The system searches the default folders in the following order:
Product Area— This is defined by the SDD_HOME environment variable and by the following path based on this variable: %SDD_HOME%\standard\automation\startup (refer to "Running Scripts from an Application").
The startup folder is automatically created when you install Mentor Graphics products. This is also the preferred location for your scripts.ini file when the products are installed on a server and are accessible by multiple users, all of whom use the same startup scripts.
Design Area— For Expedition PCB, this is the folder containing the currently open *.pcb layout design. For FabLink XE, this is the folder containing the *.pnl design. There is a different design area for each design.
The scripts.ini files stored in the design areas are scripts that run when a design opens. When the application is first launches, it does not process scripts.ini files in the design areas.
User-Defined Areas— These are folders specified using the WDIR environment variable. The process for creating this variable and modifying the folders associated with it is detailed in "Using the WDIR Environment Variable".
This area is the most common and flexible option when for running personal startup scripts.
Note
After an application locates and processes the first scripts.ini file, the application continues to locate and process scripts.ini files in all of the remaining default folders. That is, the search does not stop once the first scripts.ini file is found.

WDIR=C:\MentorGraphics_WDIR;C:\AATK;C:\MentorGraphics\2007.7EE\SDD_HOME\standard
