Panelization within CAM350

January 23 - Wednesday - 2:00-3:00 PM EST (11AM PST)

This will be presented in two parts:

The first half hour:

Learn how CAM350 can be used to create sub-panels or assembly arrays. Learn how this can be used to create simple panel drawings. Learn how BluePrint PCB and CAM350 can work together to produce professional document sets for creating assembly arrays.

The second half hour:

Learn how CAM350 can be used for the creation Fabrication panels. Learn the different options for creating these panels. See how venting patterns can be added easily and how these patterns can be ”alive”, allowing the manipulation of boards while the venting moves along with the changes.

Reverse Engineering

February 20 - Wednesday - 2:00-3:00 PM EST (11AM PST)

If you are working with "legacy" data in a Gerber format, CAM350 can "Reverse Engineer" it for you. Reverse engineering is the process of starting with Gerber files then adding part and netlist information, to create an intelligent database, which can be brought back to your CAD systems.

How does it Work and What we will Show you...

Using Gerber files, Reverse Engineering will perform what is called netlist extraction. The netlist extraction process is fully automated and even supports the most complex blind & buried vias, MCMs and hybrid designs. Once all the information has been recreated and recovered, the new data file can then be imported back into your CAD system of choice.

When do you Need Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering is important if you have an archive of old designs - stored as Gerber files or in another CAD database - that you wish to view, use, or convert to your new system. With the right tools, you can reverse engineer those files to be useful again.
