What do you think of this design? Note especially the slot coupling of the microstrip to cavity, As well as the varicap position.

Well, regarding the actual oscillator circuit, its nothing special. What is of interest for me is the coupling of the RF energy to the cavity without the mechanical complexity of the RF probes or loops. It is done by a slot radiating from the ground plane down toward the cavity. Anybody did it like this? Does it worth anything?
