WiCkeD is numerical optimizer for fast and efficient design analog/RF integrated circuits.
http://www.muneda.com/index.php
It supports spectre, berkeley fast spice,...

I would like to ask users about personal experience in this tool.
What are advantages and disadvantages in comparation with agilent ads optimization engine.
ana91
I have been using ads optimizer for a while.
Sometimes I face problem with long optimization processes.
ADS simulator sometimes freeze.
It would be much better that we have good optimizer for spectre.
I didn't know for munEDA optimizer.
milan
There are also open source solutions like ASCO:
http://asco.sourceforge.net/
It supports spectre simulator.
ana91
Yes, but it cannot read RF simulation results from spectre. It cannot be used for RF design.
milan
You are right. It cannot read psfbin cadence format.
I have written my own optimization engine in matlab since matlab can read psfbin
and has a lot of optimization routines in optimization toolbox.
ana91
Can it be done in python? Most of my scripts are written in python.
milan
No python cannot read psfbin. But it is possible to generate psfascii as the output of spectre simulator.
In that case you would need to write your own python script to read this txt format.

If anyone knows details about psfbin format it would be very nice to share with us.
